Baby Kate's first Halloween was so much fun!

First, we met up with KiKi for some lunch.  Katelyn had on her Halloween shirt with a matching witch hat.  We had a great time with KiKi, shopping for an impromptu Halloween party we decided to throw.

We served Ina Garten's recipe for Pumpkin Squash Soup.  See?  All of that watching Barefoot Contessa was good for something!

We also made scary witch finger bread sticks.  These witches had really long fingers.  The better to cast spells with, I guess.

Katelyn dressed up as Ming Ming from the Wonder Pets.  It is her favorite show.  On Saturday mornings, she sits in the living room with her dad and watches Linny, Tuck, and Ming Ming save the day.  Sometimes I hear D singing the theme song and talking about the episode with her.  It is pretty cute.  We took little Kate trick or treating around the neighborhood and showed her off to all the neighbors.

After Katelyn went to bed, we ended the Halloween festivities by watching It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown and eating Butterfinger pumpkins.
