It is always a special treat when Katelyn wakes up in the middle of the night.
And I am not being sarcastic when I say that. She is so good about falling back asleep. When she wakes up in the night, we take her out of her crib, cuddle her, give her a bottle, and put her back in bed. And that is that.
And the truth is, I miss her. When you add in naps, she sleeps for about 15 out of the 24 hours in a day. That means she is awake for less than ten hours a day. I miss her at night.
Sometimes I lie in bed and make loud hooting noises, hoping to wake her up. She usually just sleeps through all the racket but I figure it's worth a shot.
Last night, Dave and I were watching TV and folding laundry. Dave went to put away some laundry in the bedroom while I emptied the dishwasher. Suddenly, I looked up and Baby Kate was staring me down from across the counter. She woke up!
We made her a fresh bottle and sat on the couch for a minute watching Justin Timberlake perform on Saturday Night Live. Katelyn was OBSESSED! I wanted to take some pictures of her crazy bedhead but she would not take her eyes off the TV.
Eventually, Dave put her down on the ground and she crawled over to the TV and sat right in front of it!
