Meet my mom!  Shelley Winn, photographer extraordinaire.

This is how I saw my mom a lot of the time growing up, behind the camera.  When I was younger I hated it.  I mean I hated it.  The worst thing about any holidays was the family picture.  My mom would round up my brother and sister and I and try to get a perfect siblings picture.  I was always smiling wrong or slouching or holding my chin up too high or something.  (In reality, my mom was just trying to catch the perfect and most flattering angle.  This is probably one of her best skills as a photographer.  She can make anyone look good.)  But as a young teenager, it was irritating and horrible.  We have many family photos with me in tears or frowning.

As an adult and young mom, I love it!  My mom follows my beautiful baby (I warned you I would be tooting my own horn) and captures some of the most gorgeous candid photos of Katelyn.  She will never wonder what she looked like as a baby.  Literally the first moments of her life were captured on film.
