me!

Thanks to Kellie Lambert from Paint, Crumbs, and Turpentine for nominating me and making me feel better that someone other than googlebot reads my blog. So to answer her questions...
1. What is my biggest pet peeve?
2. What is my best memory?
I have been lucky enough to have many best memories but here's one I'm particularly fond of. When D and I were engaged, I bragged about how he could fix anything. During Christmas break, I went to Houston to see my family and he stayed in Utah to spend time with his. We had to spend an entire two weeks apart. On New Year's Eve, I called him crying and told him to fix it. The next day, I went to my Grandma's house for a family dinner and walked into the living room to see D sitting at the kitchen table. He fixed it.
3. What is my favorite moment of the day?
4. Which of my possessions is my favorite?
I have a tattered old envelope held together with duct tape that contains my Patriarchal Blessing, a letter my mom wrote when I left for college, five pages of advice written in size 10 font from my dad given to me my senior year of high school, and one of the first love notes from D.
5. What TV show could I watch for hours on end?
Grey's Anatomy. I know it's a primetime soap opera but I don't care. I love it.
6. What advice would I have for someone getting married/going to college/having a baby?
Getting married - Marry your best friend, do things together that are fun, and please please please go to bed if you're angry. If you want to make a bad fight worse, stay up all night fighting. You will feel stupid and regret it in the morning.
Going to college - Take morning classes even though it stinks, study hard in the afternoon, and live it up that night. Despite the midterms, essays, and cramming involved, college is fun and you will miss it someday.
Having a baby - Don't listen to the horror stories about labor. Women talking about their delivery is like men talking about cars; each one wants the better story and memories get hazy. More importantly, let other people celebrate with you. I was really private and shy about my pregnancy but now realize that people just wanted to share that joy with me. If I could go back and change that, I definitely would.
7. What is your favorite holiday tradition?
My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving and I absolutely LOVE parades! The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is the king of all other parades!
8. What is your greatest weakness/strength?
Weakness - I can be judgemental. I hate it.
Strength - I can feel comfortable teaching in front of any group.
9. What candy bar always tempts you in the grocery store aisle?
Anything chocolate but Reese's Fast Break especially.
10. What zoo animal is most like you?

When I was a kid my mom told me I laughed like a hyena. I hate to say it, but when I get to laughing about something, I still laugh like a hyena.
And now for my nomination. Drumroll please...
