We have a new family tradition in our house.
It is sweet and yummy and delicious.
D is the master chef of three recipes that everyone loves. The first is brigaderos. I have blogged about these before. I banned him from making these except for special occasions because they are so good and so small that you can eat dozens without realizing it.
He also learned my mom's famous caramel corn recipe and has perfected it. He doesn't even use a candy thermometer because he knows exactly when the caramel is ready. It is a recipe that I grew up eating during family card parties but hate to make so when D started turning out beautiful batches of it, I was thrilled.
The last recipe comes from his family. D's sister Nicole makes really good german pancakes. They are good. They are so good, I asked D to get the recipe and make them for my family. We absolutely love them. My mom took the recipe with her to Park City last week and made them for my grandparents.
I have declared all Sundays in the Robertson house "Breakfast for Dinner Day." This is going to be a good tradition.
